We answer your most frequently asked questions about this technology, which has a rather barbaric name but is very easy to use!

The Ohmyglow Intense Pulsed Light Epilator emits a so-called broad spectrum light, which is sent to the root of the hair, causing it to fall out naturally and not grow back. Depending on the skin/hair type, up to 92% permanent hair reduction can be achieved.
Intense pulsed light can be used on very fair to olive/tanned skin. Intense Pulsed Light cannot be used on dark brown/black skin because the device cannot distinguish between the melanin in the skin and the melanin in the hair.
There are no particular indications for the underarms and bikini area. For the rest of the body, you can continue your depilation with the beautiful days by respecting certain instructions before and after tanning:

-Tanning before using Ohmyglow IPL : Wait 48 hours after tanning to use it, moisturising your skin well after the session and reducing the intensity (do not use Ohmyglow IPL in case of sunburn and during the whole duration of the sunburn).

-Tanning after using Ohmyglow IPL : Wait at least 24 hours (or until any redness has disappeared) before exposing the treated areas to the sun + apply sunscreen with a sun protection factor of spf 30 or more during the week following your session if you plan to expose yourself to the sun (a simple outing in good weather is not considered to be sun exposure).
No, Intense Pulsed Light technology has a lot of scientific studies about its safety and effectiveness! However, it is not recommended for people with very dark skin.
No, our Intense Pulsed Light device has an innovative safety feature that prevents the release of flash when the device is not fully against your skin, thus preventing the light from reaching your eyes. However, you can wear dark glasses if you wish (not included).
In general, users obtain their first visible results after the first 3-4 sessions. For a the best results, it is necessary to complete between 8 and 12 sessions. Indeed, each skin reacts differently, so the results are different from one person to another.
Unlike other hair removal methods, IPL technology is the least painful. Most users experience only a slight tingling sensation and a transient feeling of heat!
